A Hunt Healthcare Group Home

award winning care homes

At the Cavendish, all of our bedrooms are large and spacious, with an en-suite and the Home provides care for 21 residents. All rooms are wheelchair accessible with television and telephone.

We encourage all residents to personalise their rooms with their own accessories. As well as having your own personal space, we have two spacious lounges, a separate dining room and a well trained team of dedicated staff to provide 24 hour support.

The Cavendish was built in 1919 by a former British Brigadier who had all the bricks brought down by boat from London. When the home was registered as a Care Home it was owned by a naval captain who sailed one of the largest oil tankers in the world, “The Cavendish”, which he named the home after.
